Currently, the scraper can only obtain metadata from Github hosted projects. The roadmap has a coming support for other providers, e.g. Gitlab, Bitbucket, Itch.io and custom executables. This is why some games have an empty "Made with" value.
The current Ludum Dare event won't show up. As soon as the event is over, the data for a new batch games will be added!
There are many challenges to learning, and in many fields, learning while practicing is an even greater challenge. Many indie developers and hobbyist programmers are missing the reference implementation of key concepts and ideas in game development. In my opinion, open-source code plays a significant role in a number of different ways, one of which is in the field of education.
The idea behind Panacea was to provide a complete list of games that have open-source code and assets. Panacea leverages Ludum Dare public API to obtain a big dataset and with the help of other APIs, categorize the entries into programming languages and engines.
